From May 23rd - 1st July the Local Data Company field research team embarked on a special project to track the initial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the GB retail and leisure market.

We surveyed over 111k units to assess how many stores had reopened of those eligible to be open.

The result of this work has been assimilated and analysed as a special insights pack which sets out the first part of the retail recovery story detailing reopening trends across retail categories, location types and regions. This data pack provides quantified analysis and data to support current hypotheses about the market and ongoing strategic planning.

This report is available free to Local Data Company clients and available for £1,750 for non-clients.

The Local Data Company is pledging 20% of the revenue from this insight pack to the CaRe20 campaign, run by retailTRUST which has been set up to support store colleagues and their families facing financial distress as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
