The Issa brothers are planning to open more Leon sites as part of expanding offers at Asda sites and petrol stations. 22,700 jobs are set to be created as Leon and Cooplands bakery sites (brands the brothers acquired last year), along with KFC and Starbucks, open on Asda forecourts and car parks. There are plans for 30 Cooplands outlets and at least 50 Leon sites a year in the next five years.

Harrods has opened its fourth H Beauty store, this time in Bristol. The store, at The Mall Cribbs Causeway, joins existing stores in Essex, Milton Keynes and Edinburgh, and will be followed by a further opening in Newcastle later this year. The 25,300sq ft Bristol store features a click and collect facility and an on-site champagne bar.

Landsec has announced a new leasing strategy designed to attract new formerly-digital brands and traditional retailers responding to new consumer trends. Occupiers will be able to access four new products offering shorter, more flexible leases, reduced upfront fit-out costs and customer insight and footfall data. After a successful trial of the strategy in the Trinity Leeds centre, Landsec will roll it out to Bluewater in Kent and St David’s in Cardiff this year.
